We were about to go on vacation when our house/pet sitter fell through. Thank goodness we discovered Contented Cats in Belchertown, just over the line from Amherst. Gwen is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet; she clearly loves animals and seems to have a knack for understanding their behavior. She went out of her way to make us and our cat, Riley, feel comfortable in her home. Riley hadn't been away from home in five years except one overnight with his "grandmother" so the first day and a half away from us were tough on him. He came around fairly quickly as Gwen gave him lots of individual attention, including putting on a bird video for him to watch and finding new toys that piqued his interest. She also kept in touch with us via text messages to give us updates which were very reassuring. Her rates are very reasonable and we are already recommending her to friends. We would certainly use her services again.
My boyfriend and I took a cat in off the street and it needed a bath very badly. Gwendolyn did an amazing job getting her all cleaned up! I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get there cats groomed. She even does boarding, when we go on vacation this summer she is going to be watching our cat!
